AMZ AGRO officially started its activities in 2021. However, its story begins well before that. In 2012, three agribusiness brokers in the coffee and soy areas in São Paulo came together to work and sell production from microfarms that were not part of large production consortia. The partnership and action worked very well for nine years, and in 2021, due to the already high financial turnover and to achieve larger and international partnerships, their mentors founded Amazon Agro. In just one year of operation, the company had revenues of R$9 million and managed a portfolio of R$36 million. In mid-June 2023, the company took another big step by leasing an area in the North region (Amazonas, Rondônia, and Acre) to execute the largest agro project in the North region, including aquaculture (with fish, shrimp, and stingray production) and agroforestry (mahogany and acacia). Our projection is that by 2026, we will be the largest exporters of Amazonian agro products in Brazil!
